FACILITIES SUPERVISOR supervises and coordinates the day-to-day maintenance and support of buildings, grounds, and facilities systems. Oversees staff installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management. Being a FACILITIES SUPERVISOR tracks work orders and ensures work follows established service and quality standards for completion. Schedules and supervises preventative maintenance, painting, or carpentry projects. Additionally, FACILITIES SUPERVISOR maintains a safe and effective working environment that complies with regulations and laws. May coordinate work to be completed by contractors and skilled trades. Typically requires an associate degree. Typically reports to a manager. The FACILITIES SUPERVISOR supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a FACILITIES SUPERVISOR typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Day in the Life of a Facilities Supervisor:
The Facilities Supervisor works under the supervision of the facilities management team. This position assists in overseeing the day-to-day work and upkeep of plant operations at various locations that Cheyenne Regional owns or leases. Collaborates with the Facilities Manager to delegate work to Facilities Technicians as appropriate for skill level. This position contributes to upkeep and work order completion of repair, replacement, and installation of items relating to the operation of assigned facilities. Secures bids and estimates from outside contractors and vendors.
