The Facility Maintenance Technician maintains, troubleshoots and repairs facilities mechanical components and electrical systems in accordance with SOPs (standard operating procedures), internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications and safety policies. Performs skilled maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and other physical structures. Being a Facility Maintenance Technician recommends purchase of maintenance tools, equipment and supplies as required. Develops, maintains and secures a spare parts inventory of basic maintenance hand and power tools. In addition, Facility Maintenance Technician assists engineers in developing methods and procedures to improve facility efficiency and work flow. Oversee and review the work of lower-level technicians. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to supervior or manager. Being a Facility Maintenance Technician works under moderate supervision. Gains or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Summary / Objective
As a representative for our company, you will be responsible for assisting with troubleshooting, diagnostics, repairs on buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, grounds, and maintenance equipment for assigned facilities, with an emphasis on electrical maintenance and repairs.

Education and Work Experience
High School Diploma or GED equivalent. 3-10 years of experience in commercial facilities and building maintenance. Have own basic hand tools and battery drill

Small-to-large work environment.Safety glasses required while performing certain tasks.Fast paced work environment.The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Exposed to a combination of normal office type environments and shop environments.Regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes, and noise.

Constant use of hand when handling and fingering hand and power tools and, when handling small items such as screws, bolts, etc.

Item weighing over 40 lbs. must be carried by two (2) people. Constant reaching across, above, and outward in work area to fix equipment.
