Fast Food Shift Supervisor is responsible for supervising food preparation and restaurant operations during assigned shifts. Schedules employees based on anticipated staffing needs, and ensures workers are trained in proper food handling practices, safety, and cash handling procedures. Being a Fast Food Shift Supervisor addresses customer complaints and prepares documentation for cash and inventory reporting. Assists team members during rush periods to ensure restaurant efficiency. Additionally, Fast Food Shift Supervisor may be responsible for restaurant opening and/or closing. May require a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Our downtown location, Elephants at World Trade Center features everything you love about our Flying Elephants, plus a full grill, and is located only two blocks away from the waterfront! This location serves downtown lunch regulars and tourists, and it features an open kitchen, so all our employees engage with customers. We are looking to add a Shift Supervisor to the team.
The Shift Supervisor is mainly responsible for exceptional customer service, safely handling food and sharing our high-quality standards. You'll need to be a great multi-tasker- able to whip up a latte while keeping an eye on the break schedule. You'll also be opening or closing out the tills at the end of the night and making sure the store is secure. You will also act as the Manager on Duty, should any concerns arise that require Manager attention. So, you'll need to be able to problem-solve under pressure and focus on coaching in a constructive and positive way. Our ideal candidate will have a year of Leadership experience in retail or food service.
