Field Service Director manages field service personnel to provide effective on-site support and technical assistance with various products or equipment. Plans and oversees installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of products/equipment to ensure proper function and maximize uptime. The technician will install new printers, configure printers on the network, maintain and ensure the proper function of such devices. The technician will also be responsible for preventative maintenance and will need to identify and resolve malfunctions and hardware failures. If supplemental parts are required to keep the printer operational, the technicians might be responsible for the procurement and installation of such parts.
The technician must help the sales department with any new equipment to ensure proper placement and operation. The technician should take leadership in communicating equipment problems and solutions to the team. The technician will be responsible for identifying and recommending equipment reconditioning and general technical service.
