Job Summary:

At Collette, we're at the beginning of our journey transitioning from a monolithic application stack to a distributed, microservice-based architecture. We are seeking a visionary DevOps leader to support the development, deployment, testing and operation of our next generation customer web product. Their involvement will meaningfully impact the availability, reliability, and scalability of our products. In addition, this leader will build our Quality Engineering capability, leveraging automated testing to enhance product quality. The ideal candidate is ready to roll up their sleeves and kickstart the project while simultaneously building and leading their team.

Primary Functions:

• Lead and inspire a team of quality and DevOps engineers.
• Recruit, mentor, coach, and develop top-tier talent, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence within the team.
• Define and implement the foundational dev technology stack, establishing the benchmark for all future applications at Collette.
• Champion Agile development and DevOps best practices, driving continuous improvement and efficiency across the engineering organization.
• Decrease Lead time by designing, building, operating, and accelerating CI/CD pipelines and environment.
• Drive Quality via installing an automated testing culture and measuring the impact.
• Enforce rigorous CI/CD testing and reviews to eliminate release errors.
• Elevate technical standards and refine development processes to foster innovation and scalability.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 10 years of relevant work experience, demonstrating a deep understanding of Devops and SRE principles and practices.
• Proven track record of at least 3 years in a management role, guiding and empowering teams to achieve excellence.
• Experience with Azure services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Blob Storage, Azure SQL Database, and Azure App Services, with a focus on migration projects and tools.
• Experience with Kubernetes, docker and other containerization solutions.
• Familiarity with one or more Infrastructure As Code (IAC) tools like Pulumi, Terraform, Helm etc.
• Experience deploying and operating distributed systems at scale
• Strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and continuous learning.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across teams and articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
