Field Service Supervisor oversees field service personnel who perform on-site routine services including installation, maintenance, and repair. Schedules and trains field service representatives. A level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. Additionally, Field Service Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor.     The Member Service Supervisor position provides a variety of services to members in such a manner that exceed the member’s expectations. They perform these services in an effective and efficient manner within credit union policies. The MSS supervises branch personnel with the support and direction of the Branch Manager and/or Assistant Branch Manager.

    Position Responsibilities:

  • Understands and exemplifies the Service CU mission, vision statement and corporate goals as it pertains to their position, the branch office, and the credit union in general.
  • Makes sure credit union members are provided efficient member services which exceeds member expectations.
  • Has a thorough working knowledge of all Service CU policies and procedures, knows the current fiscal year corporate goals and the branch required goal production to achieve these goals including, but not limited to, loan production, new member development, and new checking account production.
  • Works with their branch manager and staff to meet assigned goals including but not limited to loan production, new member development, and new checking account production.
  • Has a thorough understanding of all Service CU products and services in order to cross-sell those products and services which will serve the needs of the member.
  • Conduct all business activities while complying with Service CU policies and Federal banking regulations.
  • Adhere to compliance requirements to include but not limited to; physical security, information security, safety, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Monetary Instruments (MI), Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR), Current Transaction Reports (CTR), and Fraud/Identity Theft.
  • Responsible for complying with all BSA/USA Patriot Act regulations as provided by the Security Officer of Service CU, including but not limited to notifying supervisors of suspicious activity and excessive cash withdrawals.
  • Have a thorough understanding and assure adherence of branch personnel of credit union security and cash handling procedures.
  • Maintain proficiency as a Loan Service Representative and Member Service Representative, and perform associated duties as necessary for effective branch operations.
  • Serve as Assistant Treasurer.
  • If designated, decision loans as a Loan Officer in accordance to Service CU Loan Policies.
  • Has a thorough knowledge of all Service CU on-line systems currently used for member service.
  • Operate and ensure proper maintenance of computer equipment.
  • Maintain work area and lobby in a clean and orderly fashion.
  • Prepare and/or scan daily business for data imaging storage.
  • Provide detailed information concerning credit union accounts, dividend rates, loan rates, policies and all member services.
  • Perform VISA and ATM card transaction research and card error resolution, through Client-Central or Card Services.
  • Conduct Shared Branching transactions and assist in resolving any Share Branching issues.
  • Review branch emails and voicemails and ensure they are acted upon accordingly.
  • Perform branch office managerial duties in absence of management.
  • Proficient in branch opening and closing procedures.
  • Balance daily business (individual, ATM and branch)
  • Ensure daily balancing reports are performed correctly.
  • Supervise the orientation and training, mentor and guide all subordinate employees, evaluate and appraise employee performance.
  • As directed by management, promote or terminate employees as appropriate within Service CU guidelines.
  • Assist Manager and/or Assistant Manager in distributing work assignments to branch personnel.
  • Assist management in scheduling staff work hours, process payroll and vacation requests.
  • Understand membership eligibility specifically as it applies to their branch office and generally as it applies to other branch offices.
  • Frequent tasks may include: Performing money order sales, providing check cashing services, transferring funds from within and between member’s accounts, redeeming savings bonds, inputting Loans into Loan Operating system for Loan Officer Review, properly opening business accounts, selling or buying foreign currency for members, performing VISA, ATM, and ACH disputes, assisting members in ordering share drafts, performing VISA, Home Equity, and Line of Credit loan advances, charge and refund fees for members as needed/necessary, processing domestic and international wires, assisting with Home Banking password resets, Verify available funds for merchants calling on share drafts if appropriate.
  • Open new accounts and complete required forms to include Membership, Trust Accounts, Certificate of Deposits and Money Markets.
  • Properly open, and process all IRA transactions in accordance to Service CU policy, including completing required forms.
  • Be able to close accounts including but not limited to membership, savings, checking, IRA’s, certificates, and business accounts.
  • If designated, provide notary service.
  • Prepare and receive mail, drop off official Service CU mail*
  • Perform all duties of an MSR as outlined in the MSR job description.
  • Perform as Vault Supervisor when assigned.
  • Forecast branch and ATM cash requirements manually or understand how to place cash orders and Fed deposits using CetoLogic while complying with branch overnight storage limits. Communicate with Community Bank the branch’s monthly/weekly requirements and prepare cash order form* Organize escort from military police for cash pick up*
  • Receive and order cash delivery shipments and follow proper acceptance procedures.
  • Prepare and administer daily cash replenishments and bank deposits. Prepare and process Special Euro deposits to Service CU Community Bank Euro account*
  • Order, maintain and balance all plastics (EMV, Prepaid Cards and Gift Cards)
  • Monitor branch office supply inventory.
  • Serve as Alternate Escort Official *, Fire Marshall, Building Custodian*, Supply/FF&E Custodian and Key Custodian.
  • Maintain, balance, and provide support for ATM machines.
  • Provide 24/7 on-call support for Branch alarm systems and ATMs
  • Maintain and balance cash drawer in accordance with current cash handling procedures.
  • Supervise the operation of the Member Service and Loan Service Departments in a branch office environment.
  • Complete and pass business account certification program SS only.
  • Supervise or perform correction procedures for member accounts.
  • Ensure high quality service (friendly, efficient and professional) is provided to members through example and by training and motivating branch office staff.
  • Ensure proper quality control techniques are performed.
  • Help plan and execute local, or support non-local, Service CU sponsored community events and Marketing opportunities.
  • Ability to volunteer at credit union sponsored events that are in support of your branch and Service CU.
  • Conduct In-Processing briefings* and Financial Education Classes.
  • Handle member complaints and take appropriate action to resolve them.
  • Assist back office departments in contacting members as requested.

    • Maintain confidentiality regarding credit union policies and procedures, member financial data, personal information, and work-related events.
    • Provide quality support and maintain a professional relationship with peers, management, other staff, and members through cooperation, mutual trust and respect.
    • Perform other duties as required.

    Required Knowledge and Skills:

    • Must be detail oriented and have a basic understanding of math and money.
    • Leadership and supervisory abilities.
    • Must be able to identify problems, recommend enhancements and implement solutions in a fast-track environment.
    • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills.
    • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing.
    • Proficient with Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Power point, and various web-based applications required.
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

    Education/Experience/Certifications:

    Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.

    Experience: High degree of member service duties.

    Service Credit Union and its employees are required by federal regulations to comply with anti-money laundering laws and initiatives, including the Bank Secrecy Act and regulations promulgated by the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
