Finance Director jobs in Vermont
Finance Director directs an organization's financial policies, planning, reporting and controls. Oversees all financial functions including accounting, budget, credit, risk, tax, and treasury. Being a Finance Director generally is the second most senior finance executive. Requires a master's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent. Additionally, Finance Director may require the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential. Typically reports to chief financial officer (CFO). The Finance Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Finance Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Robert Half is searching for a Director of Finance/Controller for a local organization! The ideal Director of Finance will have experience working with strategic planning, owning the budgeting, full month end close process, financial statements, financial analysis, and audit process. The desired Controller will be someone out of any industry but someone who is a great manager and mentor as culture is very important for this role. This Dir. of Finance is a hands on role and will be part of the company's leadership team.- Role only requires 1 in office day a week!!!

- Month end closings experience
- Forecasting
- Financial statement preparation
- Exceptional analytical skills
- 8 years experience in a similar management role
- Outstanding communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations
