Financial Assistant (Public) provides assistance to the Public Financial Associates. Assists in the financing of taxable and tax-exempt bonds. Being a Financial Assistant (Public) prepares business reports, proposals, and presentations. Coordinates meetings and communications between all parties involved with transactions. Additionally, Financial Assistant (Public) verifies compliance with NASD and other regulations and completes all required filings for a deal. Familiar with underwriting policies, practices, and regulations. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Financial Assistant (Public) works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. JOB GOAL: The financial bookkeeper performs a variety of general bookkeeping, record keeping, accounting functions, administrative and office clerical duties; and computes, classifies, and records numerical data to keep sets of financial records complete.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: General knowledge of standard office and general bookkeeping practices, procedures, equipment, and secretarial techniques; ability to keyboard accurately, ability to interact professionally with a variety of individuals, and ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Qualifications:
