Financial Planning and Analysis Director leads the budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning, implementation, and business strategic analysis of the financial team. Conducts financial analysis, modeling, forecasting and reporting efforts to ensure efficient financial operations. Being a Financial Planning and Analysis Director reviews analysis results, develops insightful suggestions for investment, sourcing, cost reduction and leads strategic business decisions. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Financial Planning and Analysis Director typically reports to top management or CFO. The Financial Planning and Analysis Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Summary Of Position
The Director of FP&A collaborates closely with the VP Finance, CFO, COO, CTO, and senior management team members to establish and implement effective processes for budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. This role involves delivering thorough financial analysis and recommendations to support informed decision-making and preparing materials for management and Board of Director meetings. The Director of FP&A leads a team of FP&A Analysts, overseeing their training and professional development. Success in this role requires a self-starter with strong motivation, the ability to engage effectively with all management levels, and a relentless curiosity to identify , analyze, and resolve business challenges. This highly visible position offers significant exposure to senior management and opportunities for career advancement for a driven individual.
Duties & Responsibilities- Lead the annual budget process and rolling forecasts throughout the year
- Manage the FP&A team and grow their skills and capabilities
- Prepare long range financial projections aligned with company strategy
- Implement key performance indicators and management dashboards
- Model new client pricing proposals to ensure target margins are achieved
- Prepare monthly analysis of results versus budget and prior year
- Act as key business liaison with operating managers
- Participate in the analysis of acquisition , new product and business opportunities
- Prepare presentations for Board of Directors and monthly management meetings
- Lead and manage s pecial projects as required
- Performs other duties as assigned to ensure effective operation of the department and the company
- Live by and promote Verisma core values and assist in implementation of companywide initiatives
- BS in Finance, Economics, Engineering or related field required , MBA a plus
- 10 years in FP&A or Corporate Finance roles
- Experience managing operations teams a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
