Summary

The Fleet Manager manages a fleet of 500 Light-to-medium-duty vehicles, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and cost-efficiency. This role requires extensive experience with fleet management software such as Holman/ARI and will involve strategic planning, budgeting, and overseeing maintenance and compliance. The Fleet Manager will lead a team to ensure the fleet operations align with company objectives and regulatory requirements.

Essential Functions

• Manage the day-to-day operations of a fleet of 500 Light-to Medium-duty vehicles.
• Utilize fleet management software (Holman/ARI or equivalent) to track vehicle performance, maintenance schedules, and compliance.
• Develop and implement fleet policies and procedures to ensure safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Oversee vehicle acquisition, disposal, and lifecycle management.
• Monitor and analyze fleet performance data to identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding fleet operations.
• Coordinate with various departments to support operational needs and initiatives.
• Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
• Prepare and manage the fleet budget, including forecasting expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure fleet safety and compliance.
• Lead and develop a team of fleet coordinators and technicians, providing training and performance feedback.
• Address and resolve any issues related to fleet operations promptly and efficiently.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Logistics, or a related field.
• 7 years of experience managing a fleet of 500 Light-to Medium-duty vehicles.
• Proficient in using fleet management software such as Holman/ARI.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience using Microsoft Office products required.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.  The employee must frequently stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Other conditions may include proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery and the use of various tools and hardware.
