Fleet Manager jobs in Maine

We are seeking an experienced Fleet and Asset Manager to oversee the maintenance, operation, and optimization of our diverse fleet and assets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fleet and asset management, particularly in the construction industry, and possess exceptional organizational and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate the maintenance, repair, and servicing of all fleet, including paving equipment, rollers, excavators, asphalt milling machines, pick-up trucks, etc.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure the longevity and optimal performance of the fleet.
• Monitor fleet performance and utilization, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost savings.
• Procure and manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment necessary for maintenance and repairs.
• Collaborate with project managers to allocate equipment resources effectively and ensure timely delivery of projects.
• Supervise a team of mechanics and technicians, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular inspections and audits of equipment and facilities.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports related to fleet operations, maintenance activities, and expenses.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, equipment, and processes to enhance fleet performance and productivity.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years experience in fleet management, preferably in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of road construction equipment and machinery preferred (paving equipment, rollers, excavators, asphalt milling machines, etc.)
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software applications.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in fleet management.
• Knowledge of fleet servicing, fleet scheduling, fleet analysis, and operations.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary

Pay: From $95,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 45 – 55 per week
