Float Manager manages and leads a group of float analysts. Oversees information regarding float activities within an organization. Being a Float Manager designs and implements necessary process changes to speed check processing and reduce float time. Stays abreast of laws enacted by the Federal Reserve to best serve the objectives of the organization and adjusts plans accordingly. Additionally, Float Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Float Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be a Float Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. The Nursing Support Technician (NST), under the supervision of the Professional Registered Nurse, the Licensed Practical Nurse, and/or the Physician, provides age-appropriate, culturally and ethnically sensitive care, maintains a safe environment, collects information, communicates effectively, and utilizes technology. Provides personal care of selected patients, assists with activities of daily living, provides comfort measures and nourishments, and performs selected tasks and therapies as delegated by a licensed professional. The NST primarily functions in the inpatient settings. The role of the NST also includes patient advocacy, teaching, and performance improvement. In addition, the NST roles include performing both basic and advance skills and task as determined by competency validation. NSTs may be cross-trained to serve as a patient safety monitor and/or unit clerk.
· High School Diploma or GED
· American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
· One of the following: Current Georgia Nursing Assistant Certification OR Certificate of completion from an accredited Patient Care Technician (PCT) Program OR Completion of a Basic Nursing Fundamental Course as evidence on official transcript from an accredited School of Nursing.
