Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent with at least 4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being a Floral Designer is familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Our Floral Designer will design and create beautiful arrangements for our customers. They will also assist the front counter in greeting customers and taking orders over the phone and computer.
This is a highly visible position. The Floral Designer must maintain a pleasant outlook while working with the customers and fellow employees and maintain the security of Green Oak's Gift Shop's merchandise.
Two years in a small retail shop is recommended. The designer will stand during the majority of the shift, be able to assist with the unloading of products and stocking, assist in daily cleaning and emptying the trash.
The Floral Designer will minimize floral dumps, maintain inventory, work with floral wire services, operate the cash register and credit card machines, and design customer's orders in a timely manner. They will assist the Floral/Gift Shop Manager in a variety of means.
