Food Services Director - Nursing Home directs and oversees food service for patients, employees, and visitors in a nursing home environment. Develops, manages, and maintains food service policies and procedures in accordance with administrative directives and professional standards. Being a Food Services Director - Nursing Home reviews menus and supervises the handling, preparation, and storage of food. Oversees equipment maintenance, record keeping and all sanitation activities. Additionally, Food Services Director - Nursing Home requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. Responsibilities
Completes patient care requirements by scheduling and assigning nursing and staff; follows up on work results
Establishes a positive work environment by providing support to patients and their families
Provides information to patients and the health care team by answering questions and requests
Ensures complete and prompt reporting to the Executive Director/Administrator
Ensures that significant changes in residents' conditions are communicated to the physician and family or responsible party
Qualifications
Registered Nurse RN with over a years' experience in nurse leadership of a long-term care setting (ADON or DON)
Must have knowledge of state and federal regulations
