Foundation Director directs the execution of the vision, strategic planning, financial management, fundraising, and grantmaking operations that support the overall objectives of a foundation. Defines the goals and tactics for fundraising campaigns and program initiatives. Being a Foundation Director represents the foundation to the public and media to communicate its mission, values, and accomplishments. Maintains positive relationships with foundation stakeholders, including the board of directors, grantees, community leaders, donors, and prospective donors. Additionally, Foundation Director oversees grantmaking operations, including developing grant guidelines, reviewing grant applications, and managing the grant evaluation process. Manages foundation programs and initiatives that align with the foundation's mission and values. Implements systems for monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the foundation's grantmaking and programs. Ensures all foundation activities comply with applicable laws, reporting requirements, and regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Foundation Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Position Summary
The Foundation Director position was created to oversee the newly established Keep Louisiana Beautiful Foundation (KLBF). The Foundation serves as the development arm of Keep Louisiana Beautiful (KLB), a state program supporting local community improvement and promoting best practices for litter prevention, waste reduction, recycling, beautification, and sustainability. The Foundation Director reports to the KLBF Board of Directors, secures funds, and cultivates relationships in support of the goals and mission of KLB. The Foundation Director is a highly collaborative, proactive, and resourceful professional who provides expertise, leadership, and oversight of KLBF’s donor acquisition and retention, fundraising efforts, and corporate sponsorships.

This position will be based out of the offices of the KLB state program in Mandeville, Louisiana. A hybrid remote position will be considered but the individual must be based within a reasonable driving distance of Mandeville, Louisiana. The position requires some night/weekend work and frequent travel within the State of Louisiana.
As for physical requirements, the employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, stand, walk, sit, twist, use hands to finger, grasp, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls, talk and hear. Hand-eye coordination is necessary to operate computers and office equipment. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, crouch, squat, and kneel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or carry up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or carry up to 10 pounds. The employee must have a valid Louisiana driver’s license and pass any required background checks.
