Grand Forks Air Force Base is located just outside Grand Forks, ND. The city of Grand Forks is situated in Grand Forks County in northeast North Dakota. The city's name comes from its location at the confluence of the Red River and the Red Lake River. Grand Forks is the state's third-largest city after Fargo and Bismarck. Responsibilities

Duties

• Provide evidence-based psychotherapy for complex psychiatric/social issues such as mental health conditions or emotional challenges.
• Establish treatment plans to identify a patient's problems, strengths, weaknesses, coping skills and determine what assistance is needed.
• Provide therapeutic measures geared towards securing cognitive and behavioral adjustment by recognizing and resolving issues related to patient's attitude towards themselves, family and/or others.
• Conduct intake evaluations and psycho-diagnostic assessments to address diagnostic and treatment issues.
• Utilize psychological assessment measures to explore the development of behavior patterns, mechanisms, and symptoms.
• Work with line operational units to address mental health factors impacting human performance such as suicide, post-traumatic stress, traumatic brain injury and anxiety disorders.
• Provide psychological consultation, education and training to other mental health professionals, medical staff, military commanders/senior leaders and other Department of Defense and civilian providers
