The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, digging for lead abatement, fixtures, and other plumbing used for water distribution and waste disposal in commercial and residential settings.
Duties:
- Install plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial sites
- Repair and maintain plumbing systems in existing buildings and residences
- Assemble fittings and valves for installation; digging to reach pipes for lead abatement; uses shovels and other tools and equipment
- Weld pipes together safely and effectively
- Read and interpret blueprints to assess or plan plumbing installations
- Conduct remodeling projects that involve plumbing work
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a laborer with plumber experience in commercial and residential settings
- Proficiency in ground and digging plumbing techniques
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues effectively
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately and read measurement, and markings
- Strong skills in digging, assembling, installing, and maintaining plumbing systems
- Familiarity with commercial and residential safety regulations
Nice-to-have Skills:
- Have valid driving license for identification and transporting equipment and tools
- Ability to work with various tools to plumb efficiently (shovels, trackers/finders, k50-1500) -OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 | Lead Abatement Certificate | Confined Spaces Certificate
