Key Responsibilities:

• Site Preparation:
• Clear construction sites of debris and hazardous materials.
• Set up and take down ladders, scaffolding, and other temporary structures.
• Assist with the layout and placement of construction materials.
• Material Handling:
• Load, unload, and transport construction materials.
• Ensure materials are properly stored and maintained.
• Distribute materials to appropriate locations on the job site.
• Equipment Operation:
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Handle basic maintenance of equipment and report any malfunctions.
• Assist with the operation of heavy machinery as needed (e.g., forklifts, backhoes).
• Support to Skilled Workers:
• Provide support to carpenters, masons, electricians, and other skilled trades.
• Mix concrete, mortar, and plaster as directed.
• Assist with plumbing, electrical, and other installations.
• Construction Activities:
• Participate in demolition activities, including tearing down structures.
• Assist in framing buildings and other structural work.
• Perform simple carpentry tasks like cutting and fitting wood.
• Site Cleanliness and Safety:
• Maintain a clean and organized job site.
• Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
• Physical stamina and strength; ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
• Good hand-eye coordination and balance.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.

Skills:

• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Problem-solving abilities.
• Basic math skills for measuring and calculating materials.

Work Environment:

• Regularly works outdoors in all weather conditions.
• May work at heights or in confined spaces.
• Exposure to loud noises, dust, and hazardous materials.
• Full-time position with potential for overtime, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent standing, walking, and climbing.
• Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks.
• Regular lifting, carrying, and moving heavy materials.
• Dexterity to operate hand tools and power equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
