Duties

• Reviews and inspects on-going design work related to geological and geotechnical site investigations.
• Performs geological investigations of existing USACE projects including dams and levees, and proposed new building / construction sites and evaluates each site for geologic hazards
• cont'- including seismic site classification, to determine the site feasibility for construction from geological perspective for completeness, suitability and acceptability.
• Establishes and maintains close contact with local, State and Federal regulatory agencies to ensure all District actions are in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Provides geological input into Scopes of Work for completeness, level of detail, content, and compliance with state, local and federal regulations.
