Glazier installs glass in windows, skylights, store fronts, and display cases, or on surfaces such as building fronts, interior walls, ceilings, and tabletops. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being a Glazier may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Glazier relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Installation of commercial storefront aluminum framing, doors, hardware, and glass.
Installation of residential windows and glass replacement.
Construction background is helpful, but not necessary. Applicant must be able to read a tape measure and have their own safety toe shoes. Lifting requirements are 70 pounds. PPE is provided.
