Government Affairs Director implements strategic plans and oversees engagement objectives to develop and maintain productive relations with all levels of government authorities that will support and enhance the businesses' goals. Manages teams that build relationships and liaise with government entities(federal, state, provincial, or local) that regulate or influence business activities. Being a Government Affairs Director performs ongoing monitoring and analysis of proposed legislation, emerging issues, and trends to determine the potential impact on the organization. Collaborates with industry groups and organizations with complementary objectives to achieve objectives. Additionally, Government Affairs Director creates communication vehicles and delivers messaging to inform and support business leaders. Requires a bachelor's degree in public policy, public administration, business or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Government Affairs Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Government Affairs Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Role Overview

    As the Manager of Political Affairs, you will drive our efforts to influence public policy at local, state, and federal levels. Reporting to the Director of Government Affairs, your role will involve executing our government affairs strategy, coordinating advocacy efforts, and engaging with key stakeholders to champion our cause.

    Responsibilities

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in political science or related field

    • Strong understanding of Nevada's political landscape
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities
    • Proficiency in MS Office and database management
    • Independent decision-making skills
    • Willingness to travel occasionally
