The South Dakota Lottery is looking for a professional sales staff individual who is a team player to work with our Retailer partners and customers in our Rapid City office!
Typical route work around Rapid City and western South Dakota, with one office day per week and occasional overnight stays in the defined area if needed. There is also occasional travel to work events, promotional activities, and meetings. Work week Mon – Fri 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., with occasional shift accommodations, when working promotions, longer days etc.
Position Purpose: To be a liaison between the retailers, players and the SD Lottery, while increasing instant and lotto ticket sales. Responsibilities include establishing new lottery retail accounts and maintaining already established accounts in a defined route area, through training and instruction of the lottery rules and regulations. Responsible for delivering instant tickets and supplies, merchandising and returning instant tickets, deploying point of sale materials for instant and lotto games, along with suggesting and carrying out retailer/lottery promotions, while providing the best customer service possible. Weekly monitoring of all retailers to ensure scratch tickets are received, stored, and sold in a secure manner. Training and informing the lottery retailers and players is a very important part of this position.
