Being a Groupware Specialist implements hardware or software, troubleshoots, and may train end-users. Typically oversees internet access, document sharing, email or other messaging systems. Additionally, Groupware Specialist coordinates with end-users to define needs or areas for improvement. Ensures that all updates or upgrades are appropriately integrated into existing networks. Provides technical support, troubleshooting and training on groupware systems and makes suggestions regarding future groupware needs. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Groupware Specialist typically requires 7+ years of related experience. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. 1 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist
1 years of experience as a scrub tech, working in operating room
1 years of experience in general diagnostic, and special procedures, cardiac catheterization
Experience in IR and Cath Lab is a plus
Basic computer skills
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 60 days from starting
Associates Degree from college accredited by Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Programs (CAAHEP)
DUTIES:
Prepare patients and procedure rooms for vascular access procedures, arrange instruments for interventional procedures, maintain sterile techniques within the sterile filed and clean the procedure room after each case
Assist clinical team with patient and procedure room preparation and post-procedure clean-up, operating the C-Arm where applicable, scrub-in for procedures, clean and sterilize tools and equipment
Monitor and maintain adequate inventory of medical supplies
Maintain a clean and safe working environment and may serve as the Safety Officer within the Center
Assist in scheduling patients for vascular access procedures and provide assistance in transporting patients within the center
Participate in community education activities regarding access center
Other duties as assigned
