Job duties:
· Outbound calls – scheduling patient consults, follow ups, ultrasounds, procedures.
· Referral log kept up to date.
· Appointment reminders and confirmation via phone and text.
· Demographic verification entered in EMR (Electronic Medical Record).
· Insurance verification entered in EMR. Insurance cards need to be scanned into EMR.
· Patient paperwork uploaded into EMR.
· Co-Pay collection / Statement balance payments.
· Check-In and Check-Out patients.
· Answering phones and voicemails in a timely manner.
· Checking faxes that have come through in Vonage.
· Chart Prep: Call referring provider office and get referring clinical faxed to us prior to appointment with provider.
· Provider preferences for when and if a patient needs to be in a gown and/or socks/shoes off for visit.
· EMR Collection: Vital Signs, Medications and Allergies collected every visit.
· Pharmacy phone calls as needed for medication verification and new medication/refills.
· Inventory management – maintaining proper supplies and inventory for the facility to operate efficiently.
· Fax our clinical visit to the referring provider when the visit is complete and provider note is complete in EMR.
· Assisting Provider in Procedures.
Experience:
o Must have excellent computer skills (NextGen EMR a plus).
o Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
o Ability to accurately measure and record vital signs
o Excellent patient service skills, including empathy and compassion
o We will provide all the training that is needed.
o Must have a caring, courteous, and professional demeanor toward others, including patients, their families, and other team members.
o High School Diploma or GED.
o Ability to commute to work Monday through Friday
o Well organized, self-starter.
