The Head Golf Professional manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. 5 Canyon hole. Here you will catch a view of the beautiful Crooked River Canyon and the river from hundreds of feet above.
The ultimate challenge for those worthy, is to hit the tee shot across the corner of the canyon wall to the green. At a mere 221 yards to cut the corner, it is just the fear of losing a ball and strokes to par that makes it tough.
This is just one of many fabulous sites you will experience as you make your way around the course. The CRR layout is a par 71 and features three sets of tees, and yardages range from 5,000 to 5,818 at the tips.

Position Description : Head Professional
The Head Professional (HP) generally operates independently with supervision by the Crooked River Ranch (CRR) Ranch Manager (RM, equivalent to General Manager) in order to create a more effective and positive collaboration on issues as well as interfacing with other department heads and the Board of Directors (BOD).
Responsibilities include recruiting, hiring and supervision of the front-line staff who serve the Club’s members and public guests in the golf shop.
This position will provide supporting coordination to the Golf Course Superintendent, Ranch and Committees, etc.
Successful development of new and sustainable revenues in golf, in close coordination with all other departments, will be key to the future of this position.
Further, promotion, execution and organization of golf-related activities (internal and external), management of Golf Shop merchandise, club fitting, player development and oversight of all other golf instruction will be the key areas of focus.
Representing the Club and Crooked River Ranch in the Central OR community and greater northwest will also be important. This position supervises approximately 6 to 12 regular and part-time staff but is considered hands-on as well.
