Head Nurse - CCU directs nursing service activities for assigned critical/coronary care unit patients. Delegates responsibilities to auxiliary and critical care unit staff nurses; supervises preparation and maintenance of critical care unit patient clinical records, and writes reports on critical care unit staff performance and services rendered. Being a Head Nurse - CCU maintains pre-set inventory standards for solutions, supplies, medicines and equipment, and keeps track of narcotics. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Additionally, Head Nurse - CCU typically requires Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a director. The Head Nurse - CCU manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager.     ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

    1. Assumes responsibility for the effective and professional completion of assigned loan origination functions.

    1. Interviews, takes applications, and processes preliminary documentation for mortgage requests. Discusses mortgage options, credit criteria, interest rates, closing costs, and loan documentation with prospective applicants.
    2. Ensures application disclosures are delivered to members in accordance with all mortgage related regulations.
    3. Evaluates applicant's employment history. Verifies at least two years of employment history and ensures that all income used in qualifying is expected to continue for at least 3 years. Assesses overtime, bonuses, and commissions used to qualify.
    4. Evaluates the adequacy of the applicant's income and the probability that the member will be able to meet expected financial obligations which may include reviewing personal and business tax returns.. Compares previous housing expenses with proposed expenses.
    5. Assesses potential borrower's assets. Ensures that assets meet closing requirements, are derived from acceptable sources, and that acceptable levels of reserves will remain after
    6. Performs follow-up work as necessary to achieve conditional approval within established time frames.
    7. Notifies member if loan is referred back to Officer because of problem ratios or credit ratings.
    8. Advises members of loan approval and required conditions.
    9. Performs lending operations in accordance with established Credit Union policies and legal requirements.
    10. Provides support for fellow originators and team members when required.

    2. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective and professional business relations with members, Realtors and building professionals.

    1. Answers questions and requests and resolves problems.
    2. Counsels' members regarding money management and financial matters. Counsels' members when loan requests are denied and explains reasons and ways to improve their financial condition.
    3. Maintains and projects the Credit Union's professional reputation.

    3. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with Credit Union personnel and with management.

    1. Coordinates functions with related departments and Branches and provides support as needed.
    2. Assists Mortgage Loan personnel and serves as a backup as needed.
    3. Keeps management informed of activities and of any significant issues or concerns.
    4. Attends and participates in meetings and committees as required.
    5. Completes required records and reports.

    4. Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.

    1. Professionally cross-sells Credit Union services.
    2. Stays informed regarding changes in lending standards, related legal requirements, and trends in local real estate and competitive market.
    3. Ensures that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: High school graduate or equivalent.

    Additional coursework in business or related field preferred.


    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Understanding of mortgage loan guidelines and ability to analyze credit worthiness.

    Knowledge of Credit Union loan policies, products, procedures, processing, and underwriting guidelines.

    Familiarity with title reports, insurance, and appraisals.


    EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Five years of mortgage origination experience. Ideally with a book of business.

    Real Estate background helpful.


    SKILLS/ABILITIES: Strong interviewing skills.

    Excellent communication and public relations abilities. Good analytical and financial skills.

    Able to operate related computer applications, calculator, and other basic business equipment.
