Head Nurse - CCU directs nursing service activities for assigned critical/coronary care unit patients. Delegates responsibilities to auxiliary and critical care unit staff nurses; supervises preparation and maintenance of critical care unit patient clinical records, and writes reports on critical care unit staff performance and services rendered. Being a Head Nurse - CCU maintains pre-set inventory standards for solutions, supplies, medicines and equipment, and keeps track of narcotics. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Additionally, Head Nurse - CCU typically requires Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a director. The Head Nurse - CCU manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: High school graduate or equivalent.
Additional coursework in business or related field preferred.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Understanding of mortgage loan guidelines and ability to analyze credit worthiness.
Knowledge of Credit Union loan policies, products, procedures, processing, and underwriting guidelines.
Familiarity with title reports, insurance, and appraisals.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Five years of mortgage origination experience. Ideally with a book of business.
Real Estate background helpful.
SKILLS/ABILITIES: Strong interviewing skills.
Excellent communication and public relations abilities. Good analytical and financial skills.
Able to operate related computer applications, calculator, and other basic business equipment.
