HHA/C.N.A. Job Summary:
Provides personal care to help support and maintain the functioning of home healthcare, palliative and hospice care patients in their homes. May perform visits to patients in skilled nursing facilities occasionally. May perform homemaking duties and meal prep secondary to personal care services. Aide will report to Clinical and Hospice Managers.
Education and Experience/Requirements:
1. High school diploma or GED.
2. Completion of Certified Nursing Assistant training program.
3. Licensed as a Certified Nursing Assistant in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. If not licensed in Massachusetts at time of hire, the employee will have 1 year to obtain a Mass CNA license.
4. Current CPR certification.
5. Minimum of 1 year experience as a CNA or comparable life experience in a facility or home healthcare environment.
6. Current valid driver's license and a reliable automobile covered by insurance.
Job Specifications:
· Full-time, 40 hours/week, weekend and holiday rotation required (up to every other Saturday and every other holiday) depending on patient census.
· Hourly, non-exempt, union position. Benefit eligible.
