The Head of Software Quality Assurance manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Head of Software Quality Assurance typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     This position is responsible for managing department inventory, in-stock position, pricing integrity, merchandising, labor, and other operational processes to company standards. The Department Head/PIC is responsible for the supervision of department associates. Also responsible for running the store in the absence of the assistant manager.



    Job Duties/Responsibilities

    1)   Follows the Company sales and production planning standards and ensures that the department achieves the standards of performance as outlined in the work plan.

    2)   Plans, orders, prepare merchandise lists, and processes merchandise according to the work plan and standards to maximize sales and gross profit.

    3)   Ensures correct ordering, receiving, unloading, storage, and rotation of merchandise and displays.

    4)    Provides support to department associates during peak periods or when scheduling conflicts arise.

    5)   Assists with the development of strategies to improve customer service and increase profitability.

    6)   Ensures customer needs are met, complaints are resolved and service is quick and efficient.

    7)   Promotes the safety of employees and customers by following best practices and regulatory standards.

    8)   Assists with the supervision of staff to include recruitment, evaluating performance, training, and disciplinary actions when needed.

    9)   Performs other related duties as assigned.

    10) Abides by the mission, policies and procedures of Darlow’s Quality Foods.

    Job Qualifications

    Education/Experience: to perform this job successfully, an individual must:

    ·      2 years or more experience in a related field required

    ·      Associate’s degree in a related area preferred

    ·      Successfully pass a criminal background check.

     

    Physical Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to:

    ·      Frequently sit, walk, grasp, reach, stand, talk, or hear. 

    ·      Frequently stoop, crouch, lift or pull/push up to 30 lbs.

    ·      Clearly see 20 feet as well as close vision, with or without corrective lenses.

     

    Mental & Other Skills/Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the:

    ·      Adaptability: ability to adapt to changes, delays or unexpected events in the work environment

    ·      Computer/Technical Ability:  working knowledge of: working knowledge of: Word Processing software, Spreadsheet software, Internet software
