Head of Software Quality Assurance establishes and has overall responsibility for the goals, policies, and procedures for the software quality assurance function. Determines the tools, techniques, staffing and methodologies that ensure the efficient release of quality software features and new products. Being a Head of Software Quality Assurance drives continuous improvement activities. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Head of Software Quality Assurance reports to top management. The Head of Software Quality Assurance manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Head of Software Quality Assurance typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. I use the term "start-up" loosely as they're now at over 300 employees, they have offices in half a dozen countries, they've done a round of funding, and they make a profit each year. All in less than 4 years.
They are building a B2B SaaS platform (and mobile application) that is able to deliver key business insights in real time, a ChatGPT for businesses if you will. They're now looking for a QA Specialist that can lead the team, implement strategies and bring a maturity to their QA processes and frameworks.
Flexible Working: 60% WFH and 40% in office (2 days per week in office).
Languages - Full working proficiency in English. Any additional European language beneficial.

About You:
- A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or relevant field is always nice to see but not compulsory
- You have experience managing a QA practice/team
- Your background consists of automation testing and lots of exposure to cross platform mobile applications
- You have experience implementing automation testing strategies
- You've tested large and complex B2B products
- You have experience testing platforms and mobile applications built on React Native or flutter
- Exposure to AI products would be nice to have but again not needed
Tenure - Permanent, full-time
Location - Munich, Germany
WFH - 60% work from home 40% in office
Salary - €80.000 to €100.000 per annum benefits (maybe more for the right person)
