    Job Responsibilities:

    The Director of Electrical Operations accomplishes companywide operational objectives by planning, evaluating, and executing business activities. Leads and manages the company's daily operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness across all departments. Implements strategic plans in alignment with business goals to drive sustainable growth.

    Major Duties

    • Generates leads and obtains customers to provide for ongoing project backlog to support sustained company revenue and profitability.
    • Accomplishes operational human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and evaluating performance of team members; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
    • Coordinates with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of operational goals and objectives. Serves as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders, providing regular updates on operational status, milestones, and issues. Coordinates with subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
    • Allocates resources effectively to meet company requirements and objectives. Forecasts operational costs and revenue, ensuring financial viability and profitability. Identifies operational risks and develops mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on business outcomes.
    • Achieves operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality assurance, and compliance, and customer-service standards; developing and managing schedules; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing changes; supporting business development with proposal, estimating, and capture assistance.

    Skills and Qualifications:

    Develops budgets, schedules, quality standards, safety regulations, cost estimates, provides coaching, supervision, staffing, operations management, management proficiency, process improvement, tracking of budget expenses, self-development, planning, performance management, inventory control, geographic-specific market knowledge, business development, bid quality and accuracy.

    General Required Qualifications

    • Minimum of 10 years of senior operational management experience in the electrical industry, with prior experience as an electrician strongly preferred.
    • Experience working with a Tribal or Alaskan organization
    • Proficiency required in operational management tools and software.
    • 10 years’ experience as a project manager or superintendent
    • Experience with commercial and industrial contracts from $50k to $5MM
    • Excellent organizational, management and leadership abilities
    • Outstanding communication (verbal & written) and people skills.
    • In-depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (e.g., supply chain, finance, customer service, etc.)
    • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
    • Familiarity with MS Office and various business software (e.g., ERP, CRM)
    • Valid Driver’s License and must be insurable.
    • Ability to successfully pass pre-employment and government background checks

    Electrical Specific Required Qualifications

    • Electrical technical background (regular or low voltage)
    • Knowledge of industry’s legal rules and guidelines
    • Experience with Accubid a plus.

    Physical Demands

    • Frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawl.
    • Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

    Work Environment

    • Normal office environment and job site locations but may be exposed to extreme conditions (hot or cold)
    • Normal activity level: Sitting, viewing at computer screen, standing, walking, bending, climbing, reaching above shoulder, pushing, pulling.
    • This position works in all indoor and outdoor settings with some exposure to variable temperatures.
    • Routinely uses standards office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and standard electrical equipment.
