A licensed insurance agent at Heppner Group will be responsible for selling Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplements, Prescription Drug Plans, and other health insurance plans to individuals who qualify for coverage. Licensed sales agents must be able to effectively communicate with their clients to explain the benefits of a particular plan and why it’s right for them. Medicare sales agents should have a thorough understanding of Medicare basics and the products they’re selling. You will also be responsible for providing service and support to our current clients.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Full Time Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm; summer/Annual Enrollment Period hours may vary
- Conduct face-to-face, virtual, and telephonic appointments to provide information to clients about their Medicare plan and coverage options and help clients choose a Medicare plan that meets their medical and budget needs and facilitate enrollment
- Explain Medicare Supplements plans vs Medicare Advantage coverage, including drug coverage and supplemental benefits such as dental and vision coverage
- Provide information about eligibility requirements for public programs like Social Security, Extra Help and Medical Assistance and assist with enrollment when appropriate
- Be well versed in Medicare basics and general Medicare compliance
- Customer service and other assigned tasks
Qualifications
- Maintain an active MN life, health, and accident license or acquire this within the first
- Exceptional phone communication skills; comfortable making outbound calls
- Strong follow up skills, organized and detail oriented
