This role involves ensuring all necessary accommodation for patients' appointments are approved and provided. Coordinating with the Authorizations team for internal approval and proficiently navigating Electronic Medical Records (EMR) to update and input data are essential components of this role.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Anticipate and understand customer needs, listen for cues, and determine the appropriate level of intervention required.
    • Collaborate and interact effectively with the provider group and health plans daily or as needed, particularly concerning UM (Utilization Management) and referral authorization matters.
    • Facilitate prior authorization requests by fax or phone calls, including processing requests that are approved, denied, or deferred, and bringing them to resolution.
    • Responsible for maintaining, tracking, and following up on deferred authorizations.
    • Return phone calls to customers and follow up on their requests, demonstrating exceptional customer service.
    • Maintain all reference material provided by the supervisor, manager, or director and ensure patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.
    • Demonstrate honesty and integrity in all activities and promptly report errors to the appropriate manager.
    • Assist other staff members and actively contribute to a team-oriented approach.

    Qualifications:

    EDUCATION:

    • High School diploma or GED.

    Requirements:

    • 1 years of healthcare experience or medical setting required.
    • Bilingual in Spanish.

    Compensation Range:

    $19.00 to $21.00 Hourly

    All compensation ranges are posted based on internal equity, job requirements, experience, and geographical locations.
