Healthcare Service Line Director develops and manages all functions within a specific service line e.g., oncology, cardiac, women's, orthopedics. Establishes effective strategies for programs, product/service line, and physician integration and resource utilizations with the goal of increasing service line growth, efficiency, and patient experience. Being a Healthcare Service Line Director requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to top management. The Healthcare Service Line Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Healthcare Service Line Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Responsibilities:- Prepare and produce food per Company recipes and specifications on a kitchen line and prep area in a fast-paced environment.
- Food preparation and stocking workstation to ensure success for business demands.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in all work and storage spaces.
- Stock kitchen, organize product, inspect food quality
- Complete food safety protocols and logs with assistance and direction from management.
- Contribute effectively to a positive guest experience while maintaining a professional attitude and appearance.
- High school completion or equivalent certification. Culinary school and/or relevant experience preferred.
- Must have or be able to obtain an Alaska Food Handler Card.
- Pass a pre-employment background check.
- Participates in HAP’s sustainability program, aka “Sustain Alaska & the Yukon”, and efforts by actively recycling (where available), reducing waste, and educating guests about our commitment to the environment.
- Participate in HAP’s safety culture to ensure a safe workplace for all team members and a safe vacation experience for all guests.
- Dedicated to delivering excellent customer service to all guests, coworkers, and vendors.
- Dedicated commitment to a diverse, equitable and inclusive work environment.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States. Holland America-Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-2B status).
- Working knowledge of commercial kitchen operations.
- Ability to prioritize work, maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment. You must also have the ability to organize work, meet deadlines, maintain attention to detail and accuracy, supervise and manage staff.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
- Ability to communicate, coordinate and collaborate with multiple departments, management, and staff.
- Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs./23 kg, work around hot kitchen equipment safely, and stand/walk for long periods of time
