Help Desk Supervisor supervises the staff and the day-to-day operations of an organization's technical help desk. Supports and coaches team members on effective methods to research, troubleshoot, and deliver solutions. Being a Help Desk Supervisor trains the team on the help desk systems, processes, tools, and procedures required to document, track, and resolve reported problems and to meet operational service levels and standards. Ensures the latest product/technical updates and policies are available and communicated to the team. Additionally, Help Desk Supervisor monitors request queue and tracks key metrics to ensure sufficient coverage and achievement of service standards. Identifies system and workflow improvements to enhance the team's efficiency. Acts as the escalation point for critical issues and facilitates a final resolution. May require a bachelor's degree. We are seeking a Help Desk Analyst to join our team in the education sector, based in Fairfax, Vermont. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity and focuses on providing technical support to our staff, students, and parents. The successful candidate will manage and troubleshoot user systems, maintain accurate inventory counts, and coordinate vendors for warranted items among other responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Creating, managing, and maintaining all staff, student, and parent accounts for AD login, email, Office 365, Schoology, and SIS access Serving as the primary contact for Tier 1 Desktop Support incidents involving accounts and password resets Regularly maintaining accurate monthly inventory counts of all school-owned technology Providing data exports for Annual Mailings Tracking 1:1 devices on demand Handling first tier MDM requests, pushing apps, syncing troubleshooting, and repair Troubleshooting and repairing user systems with Windows 10, OSX, IOS, Linux operating systems Regularly using imaging technologies Coordinating and completing projects as needed to maintain and support the technical environment Documenting creation and maintenance procedures as needed Maintaining Teacher view of Student Account information.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Help Desk Analyst role or similar within the education industry. Proficient in Citrix Technologies, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Familiarity with databases and their maintenance, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. Experience with EO/IR systems, with the ability to perform system checks and updates. Proficient in Lotus Notes, with the ability to manage emails, calendars, and databases. Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Familiarity with Active Directory, including user and group management. Experience with computer hardware, with the ability to diagnose and resolve hardware issues. Proficient in Configuration Management, ensuring system performance is maintained at optimal levels. Experience in Deskside Support, providing technical assistance to users. Familiarity with Desktop Hardware, including installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with staff and students. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve issues. Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
