    Litter Removal Crew Member

    Reports To: Field Maintenance Supervisor

    Location: Boston, MA (crew pickup location – India Point, Providence, Rhode Island)

    Schedule: Mon – Fri Variable Hours, Part-Time, Non-Exempt

    Pay Rate - $15/hr

Adopt A Highway Maintenance Corporation® (AHMC) has provided highway clean up and maintenance in partnership with DOT’s and local businesses for over 30 years.

    Here are some facts about this position:

    • The work is outdoors along highways during daylight hours
    • The work starts early but we also get done early usually around 3:30 each day
    • We have been doing this type of work for over 30 years
    • Crew are provided free snacks and we treat for lunch at least once a week
    • Safety equipment is provided and replaced as needed
    • The work is mixed between litter removal and travel from cleaning spots
    • We have a pickup spot that we meet at every morning and then we handle all the transportation 

    ** Some paid holidays

    ** eligible for monthly bonus after 60 days

    Requirements:

    • Must be 18 years or older and able to lift up to 20lbs independently
    • Walk several miles at a time and be on their feet for the majority of their shift
    • Communicate verbally and listen to instructions from their supervisor
    • Be comfortable working outdoors up to 90% of the shift with exposure to varying temperatures and weather patterns **We do not work in extreme weather conditions**
    • Be comfortable working alongside the shoulder of the highway
