Hotel Manager Assistant is responsible for supporting the Hotel Manager with daily hotel operations and services. Responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction, responds to complaints, and ensures hotel profitability. Being a Hotel Manager Assistant tends to all facets of hotel operations in the absence of the Hotel Manager. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Hotel Manager Assistant typically reports to a manager. The Hotel Manager Assistant manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Hotel Manager Assistant typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. How do I make an impact on my team?Our Hotel General Manager is dedicated to building and maintaining a great team in order to provide all guests with a first-rate customer service experience.- Plan, develop, coordinate, and implement the day-to-day operations of the property
- Oversee property staffing to include recruitment & selection, orientation, training & development, scheduling, counseling, performance management and other team member relations issues
- Craft the budget for the property to include sales, marketing, operations and a strategic revenue management plan
- Lead the property management team to ensure that product and service quality standards are maintained
- Inspect guest rooms and public spaces to maintain standards set forth by company and property brand
- Maintain personal contact with guests, clients, and community organizations
- Ensure safety and security of the property, staff and guests and responding to all emergency situations
- Remain current on industry trends and local market activities
What does success look like in this role?- College degree or at least five years of related work experience in business management, hospitality or related field
- Strong customer service skills to include problem-solving and complaint resolution
- Strong interpersonal, relationship building and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organized
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced setting
