The Hotel Zamora, a beautiful boutique hotel located in St. Pete Beach, FL, is seeking an experienced Front Office Manager. With stunning views overlooking the Intercoastal Waterway and Gulf of Mexico, the Hotel Zamora provides a luxurious retreat for its guests. Besides relaxing in the beautifully appointed guest rooms, our guests experience intuitive service in our Rooftop Lounge, Sidewalk Restaurant, Private Dining, and Meeting/Banquet space. The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing Front Desk and Food & Beverage operations. This manager supervises, hires, and directs the daily efforts of the Front Desk and F&B teams to maintain high standards of service and guest experience to maximize profits through outstanding customer service. As applicable, this role may also act as the Manager on Duty for all areas of the hotel during evenings and weekends.
Essential Functions

Assists in development, implementation and maintenance of written hotel operation objectives and standards of practice with procedures for implementation.

Promotes teamwork within the F&B and Front Desk department and between other departments to ensure smooth operations and quality service.

Writes and monitors work schedules, orders and checks shipment arrivals, and enforces cleaning schedules.

Ensures that dining room service is in compliance with all local, federal and state regulations in relation to service, sanitation and personnel.

Computes daily payroll, schedules, and other reports. Analyze data and make decisions based on prior experiences and knowledge of circumstances to prepare daily and weekly forecast of expected arrivals and departures.

Ensures all staff are trained in all emergency/evacuation procedures.

Monitors all Front Desk and F&B staff to ensure all proper procedures and cash handling occurs, deficiencies are corrected, retrained and disciplined as appropriate.

Rallies team during heavy shifts, resolves conflicts and does what it takes to get the job done.

Manages multiple priorities and stays on top of numerous elements: food standards, costs, safety, etc.

Oversees F&B and Front Desk inventory and budget control.

Inspects equipment to determine repair or maintenance needs and cleanliness.

Oversees the planning, costing, and implementation of menus and wine lists.

Ensures accuracy of financial transactions completed by staff.

Completes other tasks and duties as assigned based on business needs.
Supervisory Responsibility
-
This position is directly responsible for leading F&B Managers, F&B Supervisors, and Front Desk Supervisors and indirectly responsible for all employees within F&B and Front Desk team.

Acts as the Manager on Duty (MOD) when all other management staff has departed for the evening and supervises any remaining staff including all areas of the hotel operations.

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Addresses performance issues accordingly and takes appropriate corrective action to hold employees accountable.

Motivates hotel staff by setting goals, providing ongoing feedback and rewarding/recognizing employees.

Assists with the ongoing training and development of F&B and Front Desk employees and maintains all necessary training records.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience

Degree in Hospitality Management or related field, or equivalent years of experience.

Previous management experience, preferably in a restaurant, club, hotel, or service industry required.
Required Skills & Abilities

Displays leadership in guest hospitality, exemplifies excellent customer service and creates a positive atmosphere for guest relations.

Having an eye for detail and creativity to look at things differently will be a key to developing the food and beverage experience.

Compliance with federal, state and local laws regarding health and safety services.

Proficiency with computers and computer programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Ability to work long shifts for special events and large crowds.

Sound knowledge of restaurant management software.

Ensure Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills; ability to communicate effectively with community partners, vendors / external parties, and across internal divisions.

Ability to communicate effectively and follow directions in a multi-lingual environment.
