    Job Description

    The Housekeeping Manager will be responsible for the assurance of meeting and exceeding the luxury standards of Housekeeping that is expected at Fairmont Orchid. This individual will succeed by working with the Assistant Director in recruiting for the best talent, perpetuating superior training/retraining and ensuring standards are consistently upheld.     What you will be doing:

    • Upholding brand (LQA) standards of the department.
    • Review LQA audits to identify areas of improvement and implement initiatives to improve service.
    • Manage all housekeeping colleagues to include interviewing, retention, training, coaching and discipline.
    • Maintain colleague performance logs and escalate concerns to ADOH.
    • Conduct continuous inspections of all areas to ensure that quality standards are being met and SOPs are being followed.
    • Assist in maximizing hotel profitability by property managing expenses, labor and other resources.
    • Assist in the administrative and management of the Housekeeping operation to include but not limited to payroll, scheduling and other duties.
    • Oversee inventory and top off PAR levels as needed.
    • Own all guest complaints at the highest level and follow though to ensure complete satisfaction.
    • Guarantee 100% quality of all VIP and Site Visit rooms.
    • Involvement in special projects.
    • In the absence of the Assistant Director of Housekeeping, assist the Director of Housekeeping to ensure all responsibilities and tasks are met.
    • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Housekeeping and Assistant Director of Housekeeping.

    • Must be able to work well under pressure in a fast passed and constantly changing environment.
    • Highly organized, career and result oriented with the ability to be flexible with hours, days of assignment and additional duties.

    Additional Information

    Salary Range: $58,376 - $65,673 USD

    Visa Requirements:Must be legally eligible to work in the United States. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining U.S. work authorization.
