Housekeeping Supervisor

Summary

The housekeepers’ responsibility is to keep our hotel rooms and areas clean and safe for our guests. A clean hotel can make or break a guests stay. It is up to housekeepers to make our guests come back and tell their friends how their stay was amazing.

Essential Functions

• Ensure all housekeepers are trained and understand Natura’s expectations.
• Enforces all Natura Destinations policies.
• Maintain open communication with Front Desk on changes throughout shifts.
• Assign rooms and prioritizes rooms requesting early cleaning.
• Checks the inventory of cleaning carts and adds any necessary supplies and order housekeeping supplies.
• Knocks and announces self before entering room; returns later if rooms are occupied.
• Removes soiled linens, towels, bedspreads, and blankets from each assigned room and provides fresh replacements.
• Neatly makes beds and stocks towels, washcloths, and hand towels according to policies.
• Cleans and disinfects bathroom and kitchenette or coffee-preparation areas according to hotel policy.
• Wipes surfaces in room and cleans mirrors.
• Vacuums floors and removes trash.
• Checks complimentary coffee, snack, and toiletry supplies in the room, restocking according to provided hotel checklist and policy.
• Ensures room meets hotel standards with a final walkaround.
• Check rooms for new arrivals.
• Keep facilities and common areas clean and well maintained.
• Notifies supervisor of room availability and reports any suspicious activity to security.
• Ensure soiled linens are laundered, which may include loading hotel washers and dryers and folding sheets and towels in laundry room as needed.
• Examines property for safety hazards; Notifies supervisor, front desk and/or maintenance department of needed maintenance or repairs.
• Takes found items to designated lost and found area if guest has checked out.
• Performs limited grounds maintenance such as mowing and trimming lawns and hedges and cleaning snow from sidewalks.
• Back up support for Housekeepers, Laundry and houseman
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Housekeeper Requirements:

• Attention to detail.
• Manage time efficiently to complete all rooms assigned.
• Friendly and approachable with guests
• Follows and enforces Natura Destination policies.
• Professional communicator
• Can give and take instruction in English.
• Ability to manage your time efficiently.
• Punctual and dependable.
• Work well unsupervised, be professional and treat all employees equally.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds and perform repetitive movements using wrists, knees and back.
• Manage basic maintenance and cleaning.
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance and interact positively with hotel guests.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.00 per week
