The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning client human capital processes and initiatives with client business objectives. The position serves as a consultant to client management on human resource-related issues. The role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs. The HRBP seeks to develop integrated solutions and formulates partnerships to deliver value-added services to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization.
The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the client’s business, its financial position, midrange plans, culture, and its competition. The HRBP will deal with organizational issues including employee relations, employment law, policies and procedures, sexual harassment, discrimination, and matters of compliance. Support will consist mainly of email, virtual meetings, and technical telephone counsel, but the position will include regional and state-wide travel for on-site visits and meetings.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related field is preferred
SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred
Strong HR Generalist Background; 10 plus years of broad-based professional experience with at least 8 years in all aspects of HR management
Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
Business acumen with consulting capability or experience
Experience working with all employee levels including Senior level management
Excellent presentation and customer service skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience with HRIS systems is preferred, but not required
Professional Employer Organization (PEO) Experience Preferred
Proficient in MS Office with expert proficiency in Outlook
Must be able to travel at least 25% of the time; Maintains current driver’s license, auto insurance, and acceptable motor vehicle driving record.
