Human Resources Manager develops human resources policies and programs and directs the staff in managing and implementing programs that support employee engagement, productivity, and company objectives. Manages key HR functions, including recruiting, employee/labor relations, health and safety, compensation, benefits, training, diversity, payroll, and employee records. Being a Human Resources Manager develops and delivers internal staff communications. Evaluates, selects, and manages relationships with vendors to provide supplemental HR processes and services. Additionally, Human Resources Manager maintains employee records of pay, benefits, accidents, performance, and other activities and files reporting required to comply with labor laws and regulations. Collaborates with leadership on special projects. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Human Resources Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Human Resources Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • Division:  Management & Non-Union (MAN010) MKRS Grounds Manager Primary Responsibilities:   Prepare work schedules and supervise the day-to-day operations in the landscape maintenance department to insure that work in performed according to safety and company standards.  Determine and prioritize daily work assignments, issue tools, equipment, keys and supplies and collect at the end of the day.  Train, counsel, evaluate, and discipline employees under his/her direction.  Respond to homeowner, homeowner association and guest concerns.  Market services offered by the company to homeowners.  Process payroll information for employees under his direction.   Essential Duties: Supervise the operational maintenance activities of the grounds and landscape areas of private residential homes, common areas and resort grounds. Prepare the weekly work schedules and issues daily assignments, supplies, equipment's, tools and keys and collects items at the end of the work day. Generate proposals for landscape renovation/installation and present to homeowner or property manager in a timely manner. Daily inspection of private homes and confer with employee on any problems or deficiencies. Generate weekly and monthly inspection reports for Director of Landscaping and private property managers. Order, receive and maintain the inventory of tools and supplies. Supervise equipment operations, trash removal, equipment maintenance and debris recycling. Supervise personnel which includes hiring, performance evaluations, training discipline, work allocation and problem resolution. Maintain a good relationship with homeowners, homeowner associations, clients and vendors. Respond to homeowners and homeowner’s associations concerns and questions. Manage the department following company policies and procedures and the terms and conditions of the CBA. Review, approve and verify department payroll for the hourly staff. Provide information for accurate and timely billing for contract services provided to homeowners. Procure items/tools needed for daily work assignments or projects. Prepare required reports. Perform other related duties as assigned or required. Other Duties: Conduct regular department meetings. Attend regular company meetings Maintain department bulletin boards. Assist in servicing homes as needed. Promote and market company services to homeowners. Responsible for the cleanliness of the garage and surrounding work areas. Working Conditions:  Normal office conditions Outdoors in various weather conditions. Work Hours: Able to work the schedule determined by the Director of Landscaping. Must be able to work over 40 hours per week.  Equipment Use: Proficient in the use of a computer and with the resort’s word, spreadsheet and other required software. Telephone and radio. Various office equipment including but not limited to calculators, photocopiers and facsimile machines. Vehicle or utility cart. Landscape equipment, i.e. lawn mower, blower, pruning shears, etc. Mental and Physical Demands: Able to prioritize and organize workload to ensure deadlines are met. Able to manage stressful and challenging situations. Able to stand and walk during most of shift. Able to sit at a desk to do administrative duties. Occasionally lift and carry up to 25 lbs of tools or supplies. Bend and squat to check plants, landscaping and irrigation. Climb in and out of vehicle or cart. Communication Demands: Able to communicate verbally and in writing to employees, managers, homeowners and guests/clients. Able to communicate over the phone or radio. Minimum Qualification Requirements: 2 years college in related field or equivalent in related work experience 4 years related work experience Skills to effectively supervise employees and manage department and meet goals. Effectively manage time; aware of time sensitive duties. Driver’s License when operating company vehicles
