Hydraulic Technician troubleshoots, diagnoses, repairs, reconditions, and services all hydraulic machines, systems, and components. Communicates findings and recommendations to customer and management. Being a Hydraulic Technician must be proficient in basic cylinder assembly and teardown skills. Typically requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Hydraulic Technician typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Hydraulic Technician possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. SUMMARY:
Hydraulic Technicians troubleshoot and repair hydraulic products from experience and from factory work instructions to produce a timely and quality repair. They should possess the skills necessary to evaluate a hydraulic system’s performance by asking the right questions and once the area of concern is isolated, be able to diagnose the reason for failure and make recommended repairs, replacement or potential system upgrades.
