Implementation Manager manages a team of implementation specialists responsible for installing and deploying technical systems, software, hardware, or solutions. Ensures the team is following department policies and procedures. Being an Implementation Manager manages and supports multiple implementation projects. Assesses client's requirements, develops scopes and cost estimates, and creates project plans and schedules. Additionally, Implementation Manager ensures that implementations are completed on time, within budget, and meet client expectations. Responds to and resolves escalated client issues during or after implementations. Troubleshoots and recommends solutions to implementation problems or challenges. May be involved in pre-sales product demonstrations or assist in developing proposals. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of technical specialty. Typically reports to a director. The Implementation Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Implementation Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Implementation & Monitoring Manager

  • The Manager, Implementation & Monitoring in the Correspondence Center of Excellence is responsible for leading a team to manage Medica’s member and employer group document production (ex: Certificate/Evidence of Coverage, Master Group Contracts, Summary of Benefits, and Annual Notice of Changes), including implementation of year over year changes and new product, for each assigned line of business. In this role, the Manager, Implementation & Monitoring is responsible for ensuring that document changes are updated in templates and tools, and project managed to completeness ensuring accuracy, including compliance with current state and federal regulatory requirements. The Manager will ensure monitoring of document productions to timely delivery completion through project management. The Manager, will collaborate with vendor partners and provide oversight to ensure proper implementation of the member and/or group document production.

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Lead the team responsible for researching, writing and editing regulatory and legal customer healthcare benefit plan documents.
    • Manage the overall production project plan(s) of inventory and status of each document from initial need through publication and future edits, monitoring and meeting deadlines for each assigned line of business.
    • Manage document tool kit(s) and templates for production
    • Work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendor partners to ensure correct documentation is delivered timely to our customers.
    • Identify and resolve quality assurance issues prior to finalization, and manage post production issues and corrections.
    • Make certain document content and format comply with business and relevant guidelines and accurately reflect source(s) of truth information and data.
    • Assess and determine new product and/or expansion impacts to existing team capacity, vendors, and processes and make necessary adjustments to deliver on expectations.
    • Define, develop, and implement processes, procedures, and reporting for assigned line(s) of business with a focus towards continuous process improvement.
    • Manage vendor(s) and contracted staff as assigned.
    • Drive internal system(s) and tool development planning and maintenance in collaboration with internal partners and vendors.
    • Coach and mentor direct reports, and plan onboarding and training of new team members.
    • Develop key performance metrics and communicate progress towards goals.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in business management, marketing, or health care administration preferred
    • 5 years of related work experience with project management and business requirements documentation in a healthcare or insurance setting
    • Experience in the HMO or insurance industry, with Individual and Family Business, Commercial, Medicare, and/or Medicaid lines experience preferred
    • Demonstrated abilities to effectively delegate and manage others, as evidenced through either past people management or matrix management responsibilities
    • Experience with managing vendors
    • Demonstrated project management; PMP or similar preferred
    • Experience with process improvement and cost efficiency methods

      Skills and Abilities:

      • Demonstrate strong analytical thinking skills, attention-to-detail, strong communication and writing skills, as evidenced through accomplishments in past roles
      • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
      • Ability to prioritize and plan work activities to use time efficiently
      • Ability to lead and influence programs, projects and/or initiatives
      • Experience collaborating and working cross-functionally, with teams like Product, Compliance, and/or Legal colleagues preferred
      • Strong interpersonal skills and understanding of team dynamics
      • Ability to train new or less experienced employees in standard document and report production activities, including policies, requirements, templates, systems, databases, and other tools
      • Solid working knowledge of and proficiency in standard computer applications including MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
      • Benefit system experience preferred, iPDM and/or StepWise PLM a plus
      • Process documentation software experience preferred, Eloquence a plus
      • Adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands; able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected event

       

      This position is a Hub role, which requires an employee to occasionally come onsite to the designated office – Minnetonka, MN – for applicable heads-up work. Frequency is determined by business need as decided by leadership.

      The full salary range for this position is $75,300 -$129,000. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data. In addition to base compensation, this position may be eligible for incentive plan compensation in addition to base salary.
