An industry leading skylight contractor is currently looking to add an Industrial Engineer to our team. The Industrial Engineer is responsible for evaluating and improving plant performance in the areas of production output and operating cost.
Responsibilities
Process Evaluation and Improvement:
• Identify areas for continuous improvement.
• Lead cross functional teams in the execution and reporting of quality improvement projects with the focus of overall process improvements, scrap reduction and incoming supplier quality.
• Execute LEAN manufacturing techniques and design.
• Root cause analysis 8D problem solving experience.
• Lead value stream mapping exercises to determine and record business improvement.
• Track and execute cost reduction for process improvements.
Quality Control and Waste Reduction:
• Lead quality related activities and ensure QMS compliance.
Employee Productivity Enhancement:
• Develop and sustain employees training and development on lean concepts.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or equivalent.
• 5 years of proven experience utilizing Six Sigma/or Lean Manufacturing initiatives in a production environment.
• Proven experience with implementation of adaptable robotics/automation preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• At least 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Lean six sigma green belt certification is preferred.
