Information Security Director establishes and administers the overall strategies and procedures for the information security function. Develops and implements information security and disaster recovery programs in accordance with organizational information security standards. Being an Information Security Director evaluates information risk on a regular time schedule and promotes information security awareness within the organization. Requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Additionally, Information Security Director typically reports to top management. The Information Security Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be an Information Security Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Job Description:
Develop and deliver training materials and perform general security awareness and specific security technology training
Evaluate and recommend new and emerging security products and technologies
Key Responsibilities:- This role will support our State of North Carolina implementation. This is a 6-month role with no contract-to-hire option. This role should have experience working in a security organization and working with multiple technical security controls. This role should also have an understanding of HITRUST, HIPAA and NIST CSF. This role should be proficient in developing processes, policies, procedures and other related technical documentation.
- Day to day focus on control documenting and coordinating security and IT, vulnerability management coordinating
- EST/CST hours, client is on EST.
- Experience in state/federal government work/support would be beneficial but not required. North Carolina resident preference but not required
Required Basic Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
- 8-10 years experience required
- Strong experience and detailed technical knowledge in security engineering, system and network security, authentication and security protocols, cryptography, and application security
- Consistent implementation of security solutions
- Experience in infrastructure or application-level vulnerability testing and auditing
Compensation:
Hourly W2 pay rate $55.00-$60.00
We have access to additional contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire positions with various rate ranges.
