Information Technology Director directs the implementation and administration of information systems and equipment in accordance with organizational policies and goals. Develops internal procedures and guidelines to diagnose and resolve technical issues across different systems and technologies, including hardware, software, and networks. Being an Information Technology Director analyzes high-level business needs and researches new technologies to identify and select IT hardware and software products to support internal business processes. Evaluates methodologies, processes, and specifications of an organization's IT systems to develop an IT strategy and roadmap and ensure computer equipment, hardware, and software operate in alignment with organizational needs and standards. Additionally, Information Technology Director plans and designs an organization's network infrastructure including LANs, WANs, and wireless networks and monitors network performance. Oversees IT projects through their entire lifecycle to ensure completion is on-time and within budget and provides technical guidance to resolve complex issues. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Information Technology Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Meyer Laboratory is seeking a self-directed, highly motivated and accomplished individual to join our Meyer family as our Director of Information Technology. The Director of IT will oversee the strategic planning and tactical execution of IT for the company.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director of Information Technology (IT) will oversee the strategic planning and tactical execution of IT (software, hardware, enterprise resource planning (ERP), systems, enhancements, cyber security, etc.), other technical operations (VOIP, audio visual, security [cameras, doors], etc.) and oversee the IT Managed Service Provider for the organization. In addition, will plan, navigate, and execute IT for acquisitions. The Director of IT will also be responsible for managing within budget to hit targeted company metrics and goals.
