Instructional Technology Specialist supports faculty members utilizing information technology in support of teaching and learning. Develops computer training materials and assists in teaching how to set up and use computer applications and related technologies. Being an Instructional Technology Specialist may troubleshoot technical problems and train junior staff members. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Instructional Technology Specialist typically reports to a manager. The Instructional Technology Specialist gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Working under the guidance of the Director Veterinary Program, to independently provide instruction in entry-level or career improvements topics.
Associate's of Applied Sciences or Bachelor's of Science from an AVMA accredited college program and two years' experience as a Veterinary Technician. College level teaching or adult education with online learning platforms experience preferred. Current certification in a Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE) required.
Proficient computer technology knowledge with hardware and software packages, especially all Microsoft Office software. Must have a valid driver's license, with a good driving record.
Compensation within the above posted range is determined by a candidate's education level and/or years of experience in the field. Generally, employees are hired in the lower third of the scale.
