      POSITION OVERVIEW:
      Inver Grove Heights schools is seeking a visionary and dynamic Instructional Technology Specialist. This specialist will play a pivotal role in the integration and ethical use of technology to enhance teaching and learning K-12. The focus of the Instructional Technology Specialist is to increase the capacity of teachers to seamlessly integrate technology in the teaching and learning process. The Instructional Technology Specialist will provide guidance and support to teachers and administrators through professional development, curriculum project planning, and promotion of innovative strategies that support the ISD 199 Learning Framework.
      MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
      • B.A. or B.S. degree in education or related field
      • Active Minnesota Board of Teaching License
      • Minimum of 3 years of successful teaching experience
      • Experience in the area of instructional technology in the classroom or related field
      • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with others
      • Communication skills, both oral and written
      • Strong project management and problem solving skills
      • Experience working with and providing professional learning opportunities for adult learners
      • In-depth knowledge of Mac OS, iPad OS,G Suite for Education

      PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
      • Advanced degree or certification in technology integration
      • Understanding and use of ISTE Standards and how they are used at all levels to support effective use of digital tools to personalize learning and prepare students to be future ready
      • Experience conducting learning in integrated and/or blended environments

      MINIMUM RESPONSIBILITIES:
      • Design, develop, model and deliver professional learning for implementing personalized learning with a focus on education technologies and best practices for using technology to enhance differentiated instruction and meeting curriculum standards.
      • Provide job-embedded professional learning to educators to support personalizing learning using the ISD 199 Learning Framework.
      • Provide consultation to schools and to individual educators related to personalized learning and technology integration.
      • Provide support/leadership in the development of Engage 199! and the ISD 199 Learning Framework to engage students with digital tools.
      • Actively research and evaluate innovative technology resources to enhance teaching and learning.
      • Assist as needed with the trouble shooting of technology issues related to instructional delivery.
      • Create district-wide learning resources for educators.
      • Collaborate with the Director of Instructional Technology, Director of Learning, and Director of Special Services to assess digital tools, implementation, and long range sustainability plan.
      • Collaborate with the Director of Learning, district departments, administration, and content coaches to support curriculum with a focus on innovative digital tools.
      • Support PLCs/Collaborative Teams in their development of lessons and assessment measures while integrating technology.
      • Evaluate, recommend, and support the implementation of emerging educational technologies. Ensure that technology integration enhances instructional practices, supports personalized learning, and drives student achievement in alignment with the district's vision and goals.
      • Engage in continuous learning to deepen content and pedagogical knowledge in technology integration and emerging technologies.
