Instructor - Chemical Engineering teaches courses in the discipline area of chemical engineering. Being an Instructor - Chemical Engineering provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Chemical Engineering typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. We are seeking adjunct science instructors for Cameron University in Duncan and/or Lawton.
Position Title
Part time Adjunct Faculty for the Cameron University, Department of Chemistry, Physics & Engineering
Responsibilities
Adjuncts holding this position may teach a maximum of 9 credit hours a semester.- Responsibilities will include teaching science courses and potentially labs, where applicable, attending some mandatory university and department meetings, collecting assessment data for the courses under your instruction, and holding office hours for your students. The position requires the instructor to teach day and/or night classes as well as online courses. Other duties as assigned.
- For courses in baccalaureate programs, a Master’s Degree in the field of instruction is required. In some programs (particularly in Associate’s Degree Programs), the adjunct should have completed 18 or more graduate hours in the discipline or other tested experiences that qualifies them for the position.
- Master’s Degree in a physical science field, preferably chemistry or physics.
Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
