Instructor - Dentistry teaches courses in the discipline area of dentistry. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Dentistry provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Dentistry typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Requirements / Experience
- Graduation from an accredited school of dentistry
- Licensure as a dentist in the State of Kansas (or eligible to obtain)
- CPR Certification (must be obtained within 30 days of employment)
- Maintains appropriate licensure and certification, including meeting and / or exceeding CME requirements
- Must possess a thorough knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment
- Ability to work independently, organize, monitor, and adjust work as necessary to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and solve problems.
- FQHC or public healthcare setting experience preferred
